Daisy and Jimmie had fallen into a love that felt natural, effortless—a love that didn’t demand struggle, only intention. And now, with family introductions out of the way, they found themselves thinking about what came next.

One evening, curled up together on Daisy’s couch, Jimmie absentmindedly traced circles on her wrist.
“You ever think about the future?” he asked softly.
Daisy looked at him, her hazelnut eyes warm. “I used to be scared of it,” she admitted. “Every time I tried to picture forever, it felt like a weight. Like something I had to chase.”
Jimmie nodded. “I get that. But does it still feel that way?”
She smiled, leaning her head against his shoulder. “No. Now, it feels like something I get to build.”
Jimmie exhaled deeply, as if her words had settled something inside him. “Then let’s build it.”
Daisy lifted her head. “What do you mean?”
He sat up, turning to face her fully. “I mean, I’m not just dating you, Daisy. I’m choosing you. Every day. And I don’t want to keep talking about one day—I want to start making plans for our day.”
Her heart pounded, a mix of excitement and the realization that this was real. This wasn’t just the beginning of a love story. It was the foundation of a life.
Jimmie smiled. “So, what do you think? You ready to build something solid with me?”
Daisy grinned. “Jimmie, I thought we already were.”
And with that, their future was no longer an abstract idea—it was something they were walking toward, hand in hand.
